Hello friends! I thought I would continue posting regularly and publish a book tag for once. Just to give any readers out there an idea of who I am as a reader. Because let’s face it, besides my first post, I don’t talk much about myself. So this way we can get to know each other better. And a huge thank you to Jennyinneverland who I took this from!
Top 3 Book Pet Peeves
Mismatched covers. It drives me up the wall to see a publisher change the cover mid-series! Like why? Not only do they do that frequently but they also add numbers to the spine or change the placement of the author’s name. I just hate inconsistency when it comes to the covers.
Book shamers. Stop judging other reads for reading a genre that you don’t like. Why does someone have to have better taste than others based on the kind of books they read. It doesn’t make you a better person if you only read the classics. Because can’t we just all agree that any kind of reading is good for the soul?
Special Editions. Don’t get me wrong, I love special editions. I will throw my money at anything that is exclusive or special when it comes to books. But I am overwhelmed with the amount of “exclusive or special editions” at the moment. Every month you have a ten different book boxes putting out a special edition or publishers putting out an anniversary edition. But I mean I keep buying them so, I don’t know what that says about me.
Perfect Reading Spot
I wouldn’t say its perfect but I have a comfy chair in my living room that I am always reading in. Sitting in that chair with a blanket and a dog, it equals the best reading time.
3 Bookish Confessions
Rereading books. I reread books a lot. Sometimes I think I have a problem with it but I guess I am just one of those people who likes to revisit their favorite worlds and characters.
Loaning books. Will not loan my books out, so there is really no point in asking. Anytime I have ever made an exception to that rule, I have had to buy new editions because I either didn’t get them back or they came back ruined. And I loaned them to book lovers too! So no I don’t loan my books out to anyone, I don’t trust a living soul with my precious babies.
Buying too many books. Doesn’t sound like that is a problem right? But I have learned that I have no self-control when it comes to book shopping. If it looked good I tossed it into my basket. I now have a closet full of books and a bunch still in boxes. Buying more shelves would be ideal but that would cut into my book funds.
Last Time You Cried Reading a Book
Honestly, it’s been a while since a book has made me cry. I can’t think of any book from this month that has made me shed a tear. Hmm, I think it was perhaps A Deeper Love by Cassandra Clare. It was the last month’s short story.
Number of Books on Your Bedside Table
Is this an actual thing? I don’t keep books on my bedside table. Maybe that’s because at night I read on my iPad. Makes life easier for me and my husband.
Favorite Reading Snack
A good cup of coffee. Can’t eat while I read, I end up making a mess and I am too scared to get anything on my books.
3 Books You’d Recommend to Anyone
Shadowhunters. Totally cheating with that but oh well!
The Night Circus. The best kind of love story.
Love, Rosie. MY FAVORITE BOOK (Super cheesy but super cute)
A Picture of Your Favorite Bookshelf
How Much Books Mean to You
(in 3 words)
Books are everything.
Biggest Reading Secret
I don’t think I have any reading secrets. I am ashamed of nothing when it comes to books. I mean I used to read books out of order when I was younger because I didn’t know any better? I mean we also didn’t have the internet and I was too shy to ask for help.
And that’s it for this tag! It was super fun to do. Hopefully, this tag gave you guys a little bit of who I am. I hope to see some of you guys do it! Don’t forget everyone is tagged!
