25 Bookish Facts About Me Tag

  1. I started reading at a young age. | I was encouraged by many book lovers to read. But the two I credit the most are my elementary school librarian and my 5th-grade reading teacher. They nurtured my love of reading and I will forever be thankful.
  2. I grew up reading Harry Potter. | And let me tell you the wait for Order of Phoenix was awful.
  3. I didn’t start reading YA until I was 18 or 19. | I think? I don’t remember specifically when it all started or what book series it was that got me into it.
  4. Mostly read Nicholas Sparks, Jodi Picoult, and other similar books as a teen. | And I know I am not the only one! But seriously, I read all of Nicholas Sparks books. I still do actually. Hard to give it up.
  5. Was 100% not interested in reading Twilight at first. | I waited until the last movie came out to read them all. And I then I binged all the books.43779182_393920954766143_6328021459458308731_n
  6. I’ve read the Shadowhunter series more than I can count | And I have no regrets.
  7. My all-time favorite book is Love, Rosie | Or as its actually called Where Rainbows End. Why change the title? I found it at a thrift shop when I was about 15 or 16. And I’ve read it once a year ever since.
  8. I hate when publishers change a title. | I’m looking at you HP! LIKE WHY? Speaking of publishers changing things.
  9. Changing covers mid-series. STOP IT. | I have a hard time looking at a book series if the covers don’t match. Please don’t hurt me this way publishers.
  10. Book slumps hit me hard. | And for no reason at all. It could be because I really loved a book and it could be because I really hated a book. I just binge watch tv shows until I can pick up a book again.
  11. Have to have a dog next to me to read. | They are so cozy and it doesn’t feel right if I don’t have a dog next to me.

  13. Multiple editions are my thing | My favorites! Not all books. I like to surround myself with my favorite books.
  14. Love triangles are the worst | TID is the only one to ever get it right.
  15. Wish Goodreads was a thing back in the day | Would be nice to remember all the books I read as a kid/teen.
  16. Physical books, ebooks, and audiobooks | Doesn’t matter, I love them all. And I hate when people hate on one or the other.
  17. I used to annotate my books |  I can’t do it anymore. It hurts my soul now but I had no problem doing it before. But it’s nice to look back on the books and see what I wrote and thought.
  18. Will not lend my books out. | I have done that before and I’ve gotten damaged books back. They are my babies so I must protect them.

  20. Once a year I go through my books and get rid of some. | It needs to happen. I have books that have been sitting on my TBR for years.
  21. Used to keep track of how many books I own but gave up. | Last count was 958. I’m sure it has grown.
  22.  I cannot stick to a TBR. |  I am totally a mood reader.
  23. Rereading books is one of my favorite things to do. | I love to go back and say hello to old friends.
  24.  I am extremely introverted/shy. | I would rather read a book than talk to a person.
  25.  Hardcover Elitist. | I live for hardcovers so that’s all I buy. UNLESS it is a certain author such as Colleen Hoover. I have her books in paperback.
