Tag | The Book Addiction Tag

Hello friends!

Figured today was the best day to do another fun book tag. I found this one over at Reading with Rendz! Tags are always a fun way to let you guys know a little bit about me. So hope you enjoy this one.

What is the longest amount of time you can comfortably go without picking up a book?

Maybe a week or so. This only happens when I am knee-deep into a new tv show.

How many books do you carry on your person (or kindle) at any one time?

One physical book at all times. But I also have the kindle app on my phone so I have many extras.

Do you keep every book you buy/receive or are you happy to pass them on to make space for more?

Depends on the book and if I have it already! If I receive a duplicate, I will pass it on. (unless its a duplicate I don’t own)

How long would you spend in a bookshop on a standard visit?

20 mins at the most. I like to know what I am searching for and get on with it.

How much time per day do you actually spend reading?

Depends on the day and depends on the book. It could be several hours or it could be none.

Where does the task ‘picking up a book’ appear on your daily to-do list?

If its something I am into, immediately when I wake up.

How many books do you reckon you own in total (including e-books)?

Oh, man… way too many. I have more than 900 physical books. PLUS hundreds of ebooks.

Approximately how often do you bring up books in conversation?

As often as I can.

What is the biggest book (page count) you have finished reading?

Kingdom of Ash. That book was a beast.

Is there a book you had to get your hands on against all odds i.e searching bookshops, online digging, etc?

Right now its the UK Fairyloot edition of Skyward with sprayed pages. I might have to just say screw it and get the normal UK copy before it goes out of print.

A book you struggled to finish but refused to DNF?

Glass Sword. But damn it I wish I had DNF! It was the worst.

What are 3 of your main book goals for 2019?

To read more adult fantasy, to read my backlist, and to not force myself to read shitty books I don’t care about.

Have you ever had the privilege of converting someone into a reader (maybe via inspiration or incessant nagging)?

I am going to have to say yes. My husband is not a reader but I did get him to read the entire Shadowhunter series and the ACOTAR trilogy. Now I am working on getting him to read Mistborn and GOT.

Describe what books mean to you in five words.

I don’t need 5 words for this. Just one. EVERYTHING

And there you have it! Same rules apply, everyone is tagged. I hope to see some of yall do this tag! I’d love to see your answers.

  2. I love this tag so much! I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU HAVE NINE HUNDRED BOOKS, YOUR LIBRARY MUST LOOK INCREDIBLE 😍 Also MAJOR props to you for converting your husband to a reader – and the fact that you got him to read THE ENTIRE SHADOWHUNTER SERIES?! I have genuine bookworm friends who refuse to tackle that series!!
